The grapes for this wine come from Finca Rihuelo, a 6-hectare vineyard located on the slopes of Monte Yerga, near the town of Alfaro. This Garnacha vineyard was planted in 1965 with a density of 1.57×1.57 m2 and grafted on Richter 110 rootstock. The vines are goblet-pruned and tended using eco-friendly viticulture methods in sandy-loam soils. Wild red cherry in colour, with violet highlights. Very intense. Fruit aromas on the nose, raspberry, and black berries. Smokey and toffee aromas in the mouth. A substantial, resinous wine, with a long finish.
