The Garnacha vines are planted in Licorella slate soils, together with Cariñena vines grown in clay soils, and Syrah grown in chalk soils are the perfect combination which give rise to this complex vibrant, ruby wine.
Mocha and liquorish notes intensify the aromas of red berries and Asian species. Taut and direct first impressions in the mouth give way to more meaty sensations and fresh flavours of raspberry and cherry compote with hints of succulent herbs. Good energy and concentration, persistent spiciness and tart berry skin notes on the finish.
The perfect match with rice and pasta dishes (noodles, spaghetti, macaroni), greens, mushrooms, casseroles, cold meats, pork, roast meats, red and/or white meats with sauces, barbeque meats, and soft or medium-hard cheese.
