This wine in made from the grapes from the winemaker’s own vineyard, Finca Aguachal. The goblet-pruned 70-year old vines are planted in sandy-clay soils at an altitude of 850 m above sea-level. Aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels and a minimum of 16 months in the bottle.
Dark ruby in colour. Exotically perfumed aromas of blackberry, plum jam, cola, spices, incense, and oak. Fruit aromas. Exuberant in the mouth with good depth and heightened spices together with pleasant acidity. It enters the mouth with confidence, leaving smoky, spicey notes in its wake. This velvety wine is ready to drink and the perfect match for charcoal grilled or roast lamb.
